More About Our Company
Halfway Over the Hill is both a blog and a hub for exploration and discussion of the many and complex issues related to aging. As we all know, human beings are at an extraordinary point in evolutionary history. In less than 100 years we’ve managed to increase our life expectancy by more than 30 years, effectively giving us what cultural anthropologists such as Mary Catherine Bateson are calling “second adulthoods.” What we will make of these additional years – where we will focus our attention, time and effort; what causes we will embrace; how we will spend our money; and ultimately how we want to be remembered – are all the subject of this blog and its eclectic mix of authors. Our goal, simply put, is to encourage ourselves and others to rethink and reshape our approach to the process of aging. Won’t you join us?
